I created a series of 26 never-ending cards creating an environmental alphabet learning guide. For my topic I wanted to emphasize the beauty of our environment while also addressing the damaging effects of human activity. To create one never-ending card, I made four designs illustrating one word beginning with each letter of the alphabet, such as Acid Rain for A. In each of the illustrations, I incorporated the respective letter into the designs, adding a game-like element to the pieces as well. For each of the words, I used a consistent color palette across the four illustrations. I opted for an unnatural and surreal color palette to emphasize either the beauty of the aspect of Earth I am presenting, or the unnaturalness of what we are doing to the planet.
